Skip to content Claudin18.2 CAR-T is a special protein found mostly on the surface of certain cancer cells, especially in pancreatic and gastric (stomach) cancers. Because it is mostly found only on these cancer cells and rarely on normal cells, it makes a perfect target for treatments that aim to attack just cancer without harming healthy cells.
This therapy works by finding Claudin18.2 on cancer cells and then attacking those cells directly. This helps to stop the cancer from growing and spreading.
In clinical studies, more than half of the patients treated had their tumors shrink or slow down, showing a good response rate of about 53%.
