CAR-T therapy is a treatment where a patient’s T cells, which are immune cells that fight infections, are changed in a special way to better find and kill cancer cells. IL-15-CD19/CD19+20/CD19+22 CAR-T is a newer, improved form of this therapy designed to work even better.
In this therapy, IL-15, a natural protein that helps T cells grow and stay strong, is attached to the CAR-T cells. This special IL-15 stays only on the surface of the CAR-T cells and does not spill into the blood, which makes the therapy safer. IL-15 helps CAR-T cells kill cancer cells more powerfully and last longer inside the body. For patients with lymphoma (a type of blood cancer), the therapy uses CAR-T cells that target two cancer signals at once (dual targeting) to make the treatment even more effective.
